Description
The Schneider Electric ISM50330 is an empty floor box designed for embedding into screeded (cast concrete) floors. It serves as a base enclosure for installing modular outlets such as power, data, or multimedia sockets from the OptiLine 45 series. This box is intended for use in environments where floor-mounted outlets are preferred over wall-mounted installations.
The box is constructed from polypropylene (PP) and features a light grey finish. It is designed to be cast into the floor during the screeding process, ensuring a flush and secure installation. The box is compatible with both floor trunking systems and direct conduit feeds, providing flexibility in cable management.
The external dimensions of the box are approximately 265 mm in length, 188 mm in width, and an adjustable height ranging from 75 mm to 95 mm, depending on the screed thickness. This adjustability allows for alignment with the finished floor surface. The box is rated for an operating temperature range of –25°C to +60°C and has an IP20 protection rating, indicating protection against solid objects larger than 12.5 mm but no protection against water ingress.
